Crème de la Crème believes it is important that sitters and parents always engage in professional and respectful ways and has formulated a code of conduct that sitters and parents are urged to adhere to.  

 
Sitters 

Sitters who have been allowed to present themselves on the Crème de la Crème platform have agreed to commit to the Crème de la Crème code of conduct here presented and to Crème de la Crème’s privacy policy.   

 
In case of violation of the code of conduct here presented Crème de la Crème will eliminate the profile of the sitter from her platform and database. In case of unethical conduct/behaviour, e.g. abuse and/or intimidation, Crème de la Crème will always report to the police.  
  
Profile information and providing information to the parents 
The sitter ensures that the information in the sitter’s profile, including information regarding the availability of the sitter, is always up to date and correct and the sitter will be clear and honest when providing information to the parents.  
 
Communication with the parents 
The sitter will communicate in a clear, correct and appropriate manner with the parents, making sure that both the content and the form of the communication are clear and correct.  
 

Concerning the booking/scheduled sitting service 

  1. The sitter makes sure to always present herself appropriately, dressed properly. Short dresses, short skirts and/or deep cleavages are not appropriate for a sitting service. 
     

  1. The sitter makes sure to be present 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the scheduled sitting service, so the parent can convey important information/details that the sitter needs to have or be aware of before the scheduled sitting service starts. In case the sitter encounters an unforeseen delay while on her way to the location of the sitting, the sitter will immediately contact the parent by phone (and not by sms/texting/WhatsApp) to inform the parent about the delay. 
     

  1. The parent will inform the sitter prior to the start of the scheduled sitting service about the daytime and/or nighttime rhythm of the child(ren).  
     

  1. While providing the sitting service the sitter is motivated and professional and considers the child/children’s best interest to be top priority.  

 
Social media 
The sitter is not allowed to publish or spread/circulate photos of the child(ren) or of other content related to the work situation on social media platforms and/or by any other means.  

 
Payment of a booked sitter service 
The parent(s) will pay the sitter for the hours worked at the end of the sitter service provided, via bank transfer to Crème de la Crème who will then transfer the entire amount to the sitter, via bank transfer, within 2 working days.  

Cancellation of a confirmed booking 
A booking that has already been accepted and confirmed can only be cancelled by the sitter in very exceptional cases (e.g. very serious personal circumstances or family situations, or a personal ailment/illness which makes it impossible or irresponsible to not cancel the booking). Cancellation, in said cases, has to be effectuated at least 24 hours before the start of the booked sitting service, and the following applies:   

  1. The sitter contacts Crème de la Crème by phone as soon as possible, so that a sitter can be found who can substitute for the sitter who has to cancel. 
     

  1. The cancellation is to be considered a cancellation when (and not before) Crème de la Crème has confirmed the cancellation. 

Crème de la Crème can always be contacted by phone, 24/7, when a cancellation has to be effectuated. Once Crème de la Crème has accepted and confirmed the cancellation, Crème de la Crème will contact the parent(s) and take care of finding an appropriate solution.  

Should a sitter cancel an already accepted and confirmed booking more than once in 3 months’ time or show up late more than once in 3 months’ time, Crème de la Crème will eliminate the personal profile of this sitter from the Crème de la Crème platform. Parents need to be able to rely on bookings made and confirmed and reliability is most important to Crème de la Crème.   

In case of emergency 
1. The sitter immediately calls 112 and stays close to the child(ren), whatever happens. 

 
2. The sitter calls (one of) the parent(s). In case the parent(s) cannot be reached the sitter contacts Crème de la Crème, by phone. 

 
3. The sitter contacts Crème de la Crème, by phone.  

 
Parents  

Payment of a booked sitter service 
The parent(s) will pay the sitter for the hours worked at the end of the sitter service provided, via bank transfer to Crème de la Crème who will then transfer the entire amount to the sitter, via bank transfer, within 2 working days.  

Cancellation of a booking 
In case of a cancellation effectuated within 24 hours prior to the start of the confirmed sitting service but prior to 2 hours to the start of the confirmed sitting service, 1 hour of the sitter’s fee will be charged. This amount needs to be paid to the sitter who has been booked, by the parent(s) who made the booking, via bank transfer to Crème de la Crème who will then transfer the entire amount received from the parent(s) to the sitter, via bank transfer, within 2 working days.
